Austin College has a very active Classics program, offering majors in Classics, Latin, and Classical Civilization, and a minor in Classics. The Program offers courses in Latin, Greek, ancient history, classical literature in translation, mythology, and a variety of special topics, such as "The Tragic Perspective," and "The Classical World in Film." It also offers a very popular January term course, "Rome: the Eternal City," taught in Rome, Italy.
